BharatPe co-founder Ashneer Grover is gearing up to re-enter the fintech arena with a fresh app venture ZeroPe, which is designed to provide medical loans to its users.

According to details from the app's Google Play Store listing, which is currently undergoing testing, it has been created by a company named Third Unicorn.

Grover set up the new firm subsequent to departing from BharatPe. In 2023, the company introduced a fantasy gaming platform named CrickPe.

Now, ZeroPe has emerged, collaborating with Delhi-based Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC) Mukut Finvest. It provides quick pre-approved medical loans of up to Rs 5 lakh. The app's official website specifies that its services are exclusively available at partnered hospitals, reported TOI.

Third Unicorn was established by Grover, his wife Madhuri Jain Grover and Chandigarh-based entrepreneur Aseem Ghavri.

The company's gaming app CrickPe competed with rivals like Dream11, Mobile Premier League (MPL), and Games24x7's My11Circle.

In addition to ZeroPe, several other apps such as Fibe, SaveIn, Neodocs, Kenko Qube Health, Arogya Finance, and Mykare Health also provide instant financing options for medical bills and specific treatments.

Many online startups provide data-based medical loans for patients covering various healthcare needs, including hospitalisation, home care, and chronic care management.

These apps do this by integrating hospital networks, health insurance providers, and government healthcare schemes on their platforms.
