An outage at Amazon Web Services in the US scuppered tens of businesses relying on it on Monday, with several major websites such as Snapchat, Canva, and IMDb unable to load.

The company said the problem lay in its "DynamoDB APIs in the US-EAST-1 Region" and that it was working on "multiple parallel paths to accelerate recovery."

Downdetector showed outage reports for AWS peaking at 1,152 at 1.13 pm IST.

A few of the other businesses hit by the outage were Roblox, Epic Games, Amazon, Perplexity, and Signal.

While businesses grapple with mounting workload, Tesla boss Elon Musk found time to take a dig at the tech behemoth.

"𝕏 works," he wrote on  his  social media platform.
