India has emerged to be one of the active countries for the Threads app, which has crossed more than 175 million monthly active users globally, the site's parent company Meta has revealed.
"With 175 million actives, we're seeing Threads become a place where people feel comfortable sharing their thoughts and ideas. India is one of the most active countries for Threads globally," Meta said in a release, according to PTI.
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced the news and said, "Thread was launched with the belief that everyone has something valuable to say."
In India, some of the most popular tags and topics on Threads are mostly about film, TV, celebrity-related conversations, OTT content, and sports.
"It's been a year now, and we're seeing it become a place where people feel comfortable sharing their thoughts and ideas. In fact, India is one of the most active countries for Threads globally," the release said.
